C25k Week 5 Deja Vu

Today I am starting week 5 of the Couch to 5k running plan over again. I did the 2 mile run that would have graduated me to week 6 but week 5 is making a second showing.

My running buddy (whom I love dearly) didn’t feel very comfortable with the 2 mile run and was unable to finish so even though I felt great, I am more than willing to do week 5 over again for her. I know she feels bad about doing the week over, but really, its not a big thing. I think if we didn’t run together my running buddy would probably not run at all. I would redo all the weeks if it meant she kept on running with me. Not that I really need a buddy, but this is all better when you have a friend to do it with. That and I want her to keep being healthy and if it means I have to make a little sacrifice, well, I am ok with that.

I would rather redo a week than lose my running buddy. I mean, doing week 5 over again can not harm me, it will only help. So when week 6 comes around for real we will be ready. We will kick week 6’s butt. Fo’ sho’.

If running were easy everyone would be doing it… and everyone is not. So there.

I think it’s great that you not only have a running buddy, but that you are supporting her this way. Good for you! Now we are on the same page (Week 5).

Yup! We did week 5 day 1 yesterday and seriously kicked up the pace a notch! And I love my running buddy so redoing a week is ok with me! I know she would do the same for me!
